Pasta Puttanesca



 

This was delicious even though I am not fond of capers or anchovies.  I’ll be making this recipe again and will add octopus and mussels 😋 and a little bit more heat to it

  Ingredients:

Anchovies 3-4 slices chopped or minced 
Garlic 3 cloves minced 
Red chilies 1 chopped 
Shallots 1 chopped 
Parsley (or basil) chopped 
Capers 1 tbsp
Black olives 1/2 cup
Shrimp 6-8 raw 
Cherry tomatoes 1 cup sliced
Crushed tomatoes 1 cup
Grated Parmesan 
Olive oil
Cooked Spaghetti 





 Sauté chopped anchovies in the anchovy oil, add minced garlic, shallots, chilies, capers, olives and sliced cherry tomatoes until fragrant. Pour about a cup of crushed tomatoes. 
 Toss in some shrimp until they’re pink (don’t over cook the shrimp) then add your cooked pasta and some pasta water. Toss and stir all of it together.

  Serve hot, sprinkle fresh parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil and garnish with parsley or basil
